Question: Why should I become an Uttoron member?
Answer: Uttoron is a community driven, not-for-profit organization. Your patronage helps us plan and execute the events smoothly. That is why we want to make sure, our members with their family and friends feel at home here with the best quality events for the best bang for the buck. Please check our membership benefits (link). Question: Can I become a member any time of the year?
Answer: Yes. Although it is highly recommended to become a member at the start of the year to avail most of the membership benefits. All the member benefits are listed here: http://www.uttoron.org/membership-benefits.html
Question: What is new this year?
Answer: There is a prepaid membership+food package(55$+33$) where you can become a member and pay in advance for Saraswati Puja lunch , Picnic, Durga Puja Saturday and Sunday lunch.
Question: Is there a prorated membership plan?
Answer: No, all membership plan prices including the prepaid food+membership package are fixed/absolute. No intermediate slabs exist. If you calculate the membership plan to be non economical, you have the option to purchase per event entry and food.
Question: Is there an option for an all inclusive membership where I don't have to individually register for food for every event ?
Answer: Yes, for the first time we are including a prepaid membership price which includes entry to all events and food for Saraswati Pujo, Picnic, Durga Pujo Saturday and Sunday lunch. This means, you will not need to buy individual tickets and purchase food coupons before those events. The food for Baishakhi and Durga Pujo Friday dinner will still need to bought before the event if even you bought the package.
Question: What all are included in the annual one time prepaid food+membership package?
Answer: All general membership benefits are included here. Additionally food options for Saraswati Pujo lunch , Picnic, Durga Pujo Saturday and Sunday lunch are included in the prepaid food+membership package. For non-members they have to pay separately for food and entry for: “Saraswati Pujo bhog, Baishakhi dinner, Durga Pujo Friday dinner, Sat and Sun lunch and Picnic”.
Question: What are the prices for kids/seniors/students ?
Answer: Kids below 5 years are free. For Youths between 5-18 years membership cost is $15. Complimentary pizza will be available, optionally members can buy annual or per-event adult food vouchers.
Students and seniors: 45$(membership) + 33$(prepaid food plan) = 78 $
Question: Give me an example family price ?
Answer: If you are a family of 2 adults and 1 kid(5-18 years), you will pay $(55+33)(adult prepaid food+membership)*2 + $15(youth) = $191 for the prepaid food+membership plan . Only pizza included for the kid.
Question: What are the prices for the non all inclusive?
Answer: For adult members, the prices are same as last year, which is 55$ for annual membership and you purchase food items separately before every event. FYI Members get subsidized pricing at certain events. Please find more details here.
Question: Will the membership include the external artist event(s)?
Answer: No, membership does not include entry to the external artist events, or food during such events. Very importantly though, members do enjoy a discounted ticket pricing and a part of the seats are reserved only for members.
Question: Will students need to bring their id?
Answer: It is highly recommended to carry one if you are entering on the student pricing.
Question: Will I get all the food coupons at one time for rest of the year if I buy the prepaid food+membership plan?
Answer: No, you will get it per event. For the events you don't come, you will forfeit the food coupons. Just like you bought food for an event and did not show up. No carry over and non-transferable.
Question: What happens to events where there are food stalls?
Answer: Members and non members will have purchase the food separately during those events. For entry non-members will still need to pay. These events are Baishakhi dinner and Durga Pujo Friday dinner.
